Millfield runs a monthly magazine which is written by the students.

After Hours Relaxing watching TV

So you've finished for the day, you've eaten your supper, and you've even finished your prep. So I suppose you think there's nothing much more to do, well actually, that's not the case at Millfield.

From 9pm onwards, the campus is reopened and you can socialise or play some sport until 10pm.

Most of the boys go down to the Astroturf and have a huge game of football, which is always good fun. Everyone else just hangs around and talks. In the summer it's a bit different, everyone seems to play tennis, as they mark the astro up with around 30 tennis courts. There's always enough room for everyone to play.

If you'd rather work on your fitness, or just burn off some energy that you might (but it's unlikely) have left, then you can go to the gym which is open for an hour and a half every evening.Boarders enjoying a fun evening

Weekends

are also fun at Millfield. For the sixth form, the bar is open on Saturday evenings and for the other years there are film nights and hops. The campus facilities such as the swimming pool and sports halls are open for you to use on Sunday and some houses may organise trips such as, to the cinema, paint-balling, go-karting and other such adventurous activities. If you are unfortunate enough to have work to do at the weekend the library is also open on selected Sundays.

On Sunday evenings, many of the boys' boarding houses reserve the Jubilee Sports Hall so that they can have a house 5-a-side football match. Sometimes, rival houses even play against each other!
